Breaking: Chinese machinery manufacturer acquires Kautex

Jan 11, 2024

Extrusion blow molding machinery manufacturer Kautex Maschinenbau, who has declared its German production site in Bonn to be insolvent since last year, found its new buyer.

According to German newspaper General-Anzeiger Bonn, the buyer is Jwell Machinery, the Chinese leading extrusion machinery manufacturer.

AndresPartner, a German consulting firm, stated that Kautex’’s Bonn site, with large proportion of current jobs (155 positions) retained, will continue its full operation under new management.

Based on an unnamed source, Adsale Plastics Network (AdsaleCPRJ.com) learns that this acquisition does not include Kautex's Shunde plant in China.

Jwell acquires Kautex, according to reports.

Headquartered in Bonn, Kautex has been in business for over eight decades, with production facility in both Germany and China. Previous bankruptcy and the recent acquisition did not affect Kautex’s production facility in Shunde, Guangdong, China.
