Envalior and KOKI partner to deliver lightweight automotive shift fork with PPA
Envalior partnered with KOKI TECHNIK Transmission Systems to deliver a shift fork produced by Envalior’s ForTii ACE MX53 PPA, used within an E-Powertrains Decoupling Unit.

Envalior’s ForTii ACE MX53 is used for producing KOKI’s shift fork.
Working as a substitution of aluminum components, Envalior’s material offers extreme high stiffness up to 160°C, design freedom and maximum wear resistance, without the need for additional bushings.
“Nearly all functionalities – assembly interfaces, gearing and detection systems – can be integrated in a well-designed component made from a thermoplastic GF-reinforced compound without additional processes,” explained Martin Wollenberg, Head of Business Development at KOKI.
Joint knowledge for optimization
With KOKI’s advanced CAE simulations and Envalior’s CAE services and predictive technologies, the two companies teamed to further improve the accuracy of KOKI’s advanced simulation.
Envalior provided technical support and services to optimize the geometry for mechanical performance and processing when designing the shift fork.
The partners worked jointly on anisotropic material behavior and material models. In addition, they shared knowledge and experiences about simulating and interpreting results. Envalior also supported KOKI with viscosity measurements.
