Evonik launches 3D printing resin for flame retardant and durable parts
Evonik launched a new photopolymer resin for 3D printing – INFINAM FR 4100L, which is flame retardant and mechanically durable when cured.

Evonik launched new 3D printing resin with features of flame retardant and toughness.
Designed for use with digital light processing (DLP) 3D printers, INFINAM FR 4100L is pourable at room temperature. The new resin has a certified UL 94 flame retardancy rating of V-0 at 3mm thickness. The resulted parts can withstand contact with sparks, flames and various types of fuels.
Once cured, the resulted product features high elongation at break, good haptics, and an excellent surface finish that can be further machined and polished. It also exhibits a level of toughness similar to materials made of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plastic.
With INFINAM FR 4100L, the 3D-printed prototype and functional production parts are well suited for the most demanding aerospace, automotive, and other industrial applications.
