Evonik launches new, stiffer VESTAKEEP PEEK dental grades

Oct 26, 2026

Evonik has introduced two new PEEK grades designed for use in long-term dental prosthetics.

As one of the latest developments from its High Performance Polymers business line, VESTAKEEP DC4760 and VESTAKEEP DC4780 feature remarkable bone-like stiffness, durability, high biocompatibility and excellent processability in dental labs, enlarging the portfolio of metal-free and lightweight dental materials.

Evonik introduces two new VESTAKEEP PEEK grades for dental prosthetics.

Proven high structural rigidity

The new dental grades join an existing range of VESTAKEEP products for dental applications and are based on a patented formulation that brings high structural rigidity.

This property was further defined in an independent study recently published in “Dental Materials.” Conducted by leading members of Charité University Medicine in Berlin and the Einstein Center Digital Future research group, the analysis found VESTAKEEP DC4760 and VESTAKEEP DC4780 to have a level of stiffness high enough for use in implant-supported dentures and other high-load dental prosthetics.

“The key feature of these new VESTAKEEP dental grades is their combination of higher stiffness and their ability to maintain the flexural strength expected for long-term dental prostheses. Thanks to this, VESTAKEEP can now be used for a broader range of high quality, aesthetic & long-lasting multi-unit frameworks that provide elevated patient comfort,” said Jacques-Antoine Raust, Business Manager in Evonik’s Medical Systems team.

Excellent polishability and wear resistance

Both VESTAKEEP DC4760 and VESTAKEEP DC4780 feature excellent polishability for improved machining with established dental laboratory equipment. This allows the benefit of a smooth and immediate integration into daily operations for dental lab technicians and dentists.

Evonik’s new PEEK grades continue to retain previous dental grades’ well-established, excellent wear and plaque accumulation resistance for durable hygiene and aesthetics.

Additionally, the increased stiffness of both products leads to better modulus matching between acrylic veneers and PEEK, which can increase the longevity of dentures

VESTAKEEP DC4760 (dentin colored PEEK) and VESTAKEEP DC4780 (gingiva colored PEEK) are available as rods or CAD/CAM discs with full biocompatibility for long-term mucosal contact. Along with the product, Evonik will provide customers regulatory support for their own MDR registration.
