EMS-GRIVORY presents partly bio-based PA grades

Feb 19, 2024

EMS-GRIVORY presents two partly bio-based PA610 products Grilamid 2S XE 10901 NATURAL (with very high flexibility) and 2S XE 11364 NATURAL (with medium flexibility) for manufacturing special ski boots for touring or mountaineering.

EMS-GRIVORY presents two partly bio-based PA610 products for special ski boots.

Similar to PA12, both grades offer exceptionally low density and appealing surface quality. They are easy to process and can be colored as desired. They also do not stiffen at low temperatures, which enhances user comfort and safety.

Other sustainable grades in ski boots application

EMS-GRIVORY also offers products with reduced footprint which are suitable in the same application area.

Grilamid 2S FE 16182 ANTHRACITE, a PA610 injection molding type with 30% long carbon fibers, is the first partially bio-based products in the company’s portfolio of long-fiber thermoplastics (LFT).

The company also offers the completely bio-based polymer PA1010 to further increase the organic content of the compounds.

The polymers and compounds mentioned are all manufactured at the Domar/Ems site in Switzerland.
