Amcor and AVON launch AmPrima Plus refill pouch for shower gels
Amcor, a global supplier of sustainable packaging solution, and AVON, a global cosmetic, skin care and personal care brand, launched the AmPrima Plus refill pouch for the AVON Little Black Dress classic shower gels in China, which is the brand’s first refill pouch with recycle-ready material.

Amcor and AVON launched the AmPrima Plus refill pouch for shower gels in China.
The recycle-ready pouch delivers the barrier properties, stiffness, graphics performance and run speeds that match unrecyclable alternatives. It also results in an 83% reduction in carbon footprint, and 88% and 79% reduction in water consumption and renewable energy respectively when it's recycled.
Roawin Luo, Global Director of Product Management at Amcor, stated that the company’s AmPrima product range elevates the functionality and consumer appeal of brand products, offering packaging options to help reach brands’ sustainability goals.
AVON has a sustainability ambition to use 100% reusable, recyclable or compostable packaging material for its products by 2030. The brand recently also accelerated its sustainability goals to also use 50% recycled content by 2030 for all plastic used (in weight).
“This partnership marks a significant milestone in our commitment to sustainability and innovation, allowing consumers to enjoy our high-quality products while contributing to a more environmentally friendly future,” explained Abby Deng, Marketing Head of AVON China.
The 350ml refill pack for AVON’s Little Black Dress classic shower gel is now available in China. AVON and Amcor teams are also working on the Shimmer Shower gel, anticipated to launch later this year, as well as a number of other planned recycle-ready solutions.
