VietnamPlas 2024: Pioneering Global Innovations and Sustainable Solutions in Plastics and Rubber Industry

 

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – VietnamPlas 2024, the 22nd Vietnam International Plastics & Rubber Industry Exhibition, will be held from 16 to 19 October at the Saigon Exhibition & Conference Center (SECC). Spanning 23,000 square meters, this major event will host 632 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions, including Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the United States, and Vietnam.

Organized by the Ministry of Industry & Trade - Vinexad National Trade Fair & Advertising J.S.C and Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co., Ltd., VietnamPlas 2024 is poised to be a landmark event, reflecting the dynamic growth and evolving trends in the plastics and rubber industry, which is increasingly shifting towards automation, digitalization, and sustainability in manufacturing.

 

Advancements in recycling technologies and bio-based plastics further underscore the industry’s commitment to addressing environmental challenges. These innovations, alongside the increasing demand for plastics and plastic waste resources, are expected to contribute to a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.6% over 

the next eight years. With Vietnam emerging as a regional hub for plastics manufacturing, the local industry is poised to benefit significantly from this global shift toward sustainability, positioning the country as a key player in the drive for eco-friendly plastics solutions.

 

VietnamPlas 2024 will showcase not only sustainable recycling solutions but also a wide range of products, from advanced injection machinery and state-of-the-art extrusion lines to innovative film-blowing machines, precision bag-making machines, high-performance mixers, industrial cutters, efficient compressors, quality materials, and specialized additives. These technologies align with Vietnam's growing demand for advanced manufacturing capabilities and sustainable practices in the plastics and rubber industry.

An impressive array of international exhibitors will converge at the event, showcasing cutting-edge innovations from all corners of the globe. Leading companies like Belgium’s BKS S.A., Germany’s Motan Holding GmbH, Windmöller & Hölscher KG, and Singapore’s Planet Asia will present groundbreaking technologies. Notably, Iran’s Arya Sasol Polymer Company and Jam Petrochemical Company will represent the Middle East, while Italy’s Mixron SRL joins key Chinese firms such as CMIC, Haitian, Silstar, Yizumi, and LK Injection. Adding to the global mix, Taiwan’s industry leaders, including POLYSTAR Machinery, FCS Machinery, CLF Machinery, and Pan Stone, will further enrich the exhibition’s international dimension.

 

Noteworthy participation from leading local Vietnamese companies, including Kim Minh, Topstar Technology, Yong Ying New Materials Technology, and Cosmos Machinery Technology, is also anticipated.

 

The exhibition receives official support from key industry organizations such as the Vietnam Plastics Association (VPA), the Vietnam Association of Mechanical Industry (VAMI), the Vietnam Rubber Association (VRA), the Ho Chi Minh Rubber Plastic Manufacturer Association (RUPA), the Vietnam Waste Recycling Association (VWRA), and the Ho Chi Minh City Automation Association (HauA). This robust backing underscores the event's crucial role in driving innovation and growth within Vietnam's plastics and rubber sectors, as well as its significant influence in shaping industry advancements across the region.

From 16 to 18 October, professional seminars will focus on the environmental challenges posed by the plastics and rubber industry in the context of Vietnam's commitment to achieving net zero by 2050. The seminars will address how stakeholders—including government, businesses, and policymakers—can collaborate to achieve sustainability, with a specific emphasis on Net-Zero goals. Key topics will include innovations driving sustainability in the plastics and rubber industry, such as green composite materials, Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) solutions, and biodegradable and bio-based plastics. Additionally, concurrent seminars will be hosted by VPA and VWRA. For detailed agendas and registration, please visit the official website.
