COACE highlights additives for photovoltaic and power battery sectors at CHINAPLAS 2026

Feb 20, 2026

As the modified plastics industry evolves from rapid growth to more refined phases, COACE Chemical, a leader in developing modified plastic additives, identifies two key trends: enhanced performance and a systematic approach to sustainability.

At this year’s CHINAPLAS, COACE will highlight its specialty functional additives and circular economy solutions targeting the photovoltaic and power battery sectors. While the company retains a strong presence in traditional markets such as automotive, home appliances, and wiring and piping, its fastest growth is occurring in the photovoltaic and new energy sectors.

In the photovoltaic sector, COACE supplies adhesive film additives to leading domestic manufacturers of photovoltaic modules. These additives are used in N-type TOPCon double glass components, significantly enhancing the long-term adhesion and moisture resistance of the encapsulating film with modern battery backsheet. After 3,000 hours of testing, these solutions support a 25-year operational lifespan for the modules.

COACE Chemical's R1020 is a kind of silane modified polyolefin to be used as a tie layer between the solar cells and glass.

In the electric vehicle industry, COACE has delivered a comprehensive material solution for a specific brand's battery pack cover. By leveraging unique toughness and flame-retardant synergistic technologies, the company has achieved UL94 V-0 flame resistance and high rigidity, resulting in lightweight components with a production yield exceeding 99.5%.

COACE’s solutions have also found widespread application in high-end food packaging, effectively extending shelf life and enhancing product safety.
