Must-attend: CHINAPLAS x CPRJ Plastics Recycling and Circular Economy Conference in Shanghai

Mar 22, 2026

In recent years, the global plastics recycling industry has experienced accelerated transformation, propelled by multiple forces in policy, technology, and market dynamics.

On the policy front, the United Nations is crafting a global plastic pollution treaty to establish a long-term governance framework. In response, key economies are taking decisive actions: European Union is implementing regulations targeting critical sectors such as packaging and automotive, guided by the European Green Deal and the Circular Economy Action Plan (CEAP). Concurrently, China is enhancing its recycling systems and standards for recycled materials in alignment with its dual carbon strategy to facilitate a circular economy.

In the realms of market and technology, climate-friendly materials are diversifying to include recycled plastics, bioplastics, and recyclable plastics. Advancements in mechanical recycling, intelligent sorting, and chemical recycling technologies are progressing rapidly, while digital tracking systems are enhancing recycling efficiency.

Against this backdrop, the 7th Edition of the CHINAPLAS x CPRJ Plastics Recycling and Circular Economy Conference and Showcase will take place on April 20, 2026. Co-hosted by CHINAPLAS and Adsale Plastics Network, this conference represents a major concurrent event of CHINAPLAS 2026.

With a global perspective, the conference will gather representatives from governments, businesses, and industry associations across the EU, the U.S., the UK, Turkey, Brazil, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, and China.

Through a variety of activities—including breakfast meetings, panel discussions, keynote speeches, brand showcases, and supply chain solution presentations—the event will explore global trends in plastics recycling and the circular economy. Key focuses will include policy developments, technological innovations, and market insights. Topics will cover overseas investment, sustainable practices from end-user brands, green supply chain management, innovative applications of climate-friendly materials, and advancements in recycling technologies.

This conference is not only a premier industry gathering but also a valuable opportunity for companies to gain insights into global trends in the circular economy and discover new pathways for sustainable plastic practices.
