Online Live Series: Haitian says 2020 turned out to be prosperous for the IMM industry
When sharing the company’s strategies in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Zhang Jianfeng, Executive Director of Haitian International and CEO of Haitian Plastics Machinery Group, commented that he didn’t expect such a good outlook in 2020 for the Chinese injection molding machine (IMM) industry from a macro perspective.
“In the first half of the year, there was high demand from certain sectors amid the pandemic. For example, protective goggles, disinfectants, face masks and respirators…,” explained Mr. Zhang. “In the second half, domestic demand increased, and we are fully booked for August and September.”
The automotive market was not so good in the first half of the year, but it is slightly picking up, especially in the aspect of new energy vehicles. “I think 2020 has been a very good year for the injection molding machine industry,” concluded Mr. Zhang.
