出资支持回收!罗技推动电子产品循环再用

当前全球电子垃圾回收技术不高,基础设施不足,电子废物回收率很低。小型轻质电子产品通常包含低价值材料的复杂混合物,需要特殊的分拣和回收技术。同时,在将电子垃圾运往专业回收的过程中,造成的环境影响有时可能超过回收带来的环境效益。此外,电池和电子产品本不应与生活垃圾一起进行掩埋处理,但是这种情况在全球许多国家仍在继续发生。到2025年,电子垃圾预计将增加100万到将近5400万吨,成为全球增长最快的废物流之一。

罗技(Logetich)作为全球通过创新的电脑外围设备和诸多行业首创连接用户的知名企业,一直严格遵守全球废电气电子设备(WEEE),包装和电池的管理法规,并关注电子产品生命周期管理的风险和机遇。

自愿性回收难度大

罗技表示,自愿性回收服务仍然是一项重大挑战,主要鉴于以下原因:具有庞大的全球消费者群;全球范围内回收和再循环基础设施具有局限性;以及运输电子废塑进行回收和再循环过程带来的环境影响。

罗技目前依靠现有的产品责任组织(PRO)、分销商、零售商和其他合作伙伴网络展开这方面的行动,并且将继续探索这一领域的选择。

罗技2017年与全球产品责任组织合作,为收集3,355吨以上的电子废物,401吨电池和1,900吨包装提供资金支持。自2010年以来,罗技资助了超过27,000吨电子废物、超过2,000吨电池和超过15,000吨包装的回收。

回收再生设计

罗技不仅仅考虑报废回收,同时对材料选择以及产品生命周期结束时带来的碳足迹和环境影响负责。

为消除回收流中的污染物,罗技管理受规管和限制的物质,并消除阻碍回收或在回收期间对环境造成重大影响的物质(包括PVC)。

罗技希望通过产品设计实现再生材料的使用和产品的可回收性,并且正在努力开发其他的可持续性设计标准和环保技术和解决方案,包括不含PVC的电缆和消费后回收(PCR)塑料。

提高消费者环保意识

罗技认识到有必要提高消费者的环保认识。罗技在产品,包装,手册和网站上提供回收信息,电池拆卸和回收标签以及说明,以促进电池拆卸,负责任的管理并提高消费者对回收重要性的认识。

2019年,罗技在logitech.com网站上启动了一个新的回收专页,并在youtube上传了回收视频,以提高消费者的意识并向消费者提供有关当地回收的信息。
