AR Packaging completes acquisition of Maju Jaya in Indonesia

AR Packaging Group AB announced the closing of the acquisition of a significant majority stake in PT Maju Jaya Sarana Grafika, a leading Indonesian packaging company.

Maju Jaya, with a majority of its customer base in the tobacco and food segments, Maju Jaya is a paper packaging company offering a one stop service from design, prepress and production to finishing and delivery.

Maju Jaya was founded in 1974 and operates two sites in Indonesia in Bekasi (close to Jakarta, Java) and Semarang (central Java). The company is certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. It aims to be an efficient, modern and highly regarded player in the packaging industry.

AR Packaging is one of Europe’s leading companies in the packaging sector. Its core markets are in the folding carton and the flexible packaging in Europe.

The acquisition of Maju Jaya is an important step to implement the AR Packaging expansion strategy outside of Europe in selected segments. With a platform in South East Asia, the group will be able to serve both local and multi-national customers in the best way.
