Yanfeng Automotive Interiors building new plant in Belvidere, the US
China-based Yanfeng Automotive Interiors (延锋汽车内饰系统) announced that it is building a new manufacturing facility in Belvidere, Illinois, the US to support FCA US LCC.
The new plant, expected for commencement in 2017, will supply interior cockpit components to the Jeep Cherokee, which will be built at the FCA US Belvidere assembly plant.
"We are pleased to be a part of the Belvidere community and support FCA in the production of the Jeep Cherokee," said Nathan Bowen, Vice President and General Manager, Americas, Yanfeng Automotive Interiors. "The opening of this facility further demonstrates our commitment to supporting our customers."
Yangfeng's new plant is expected to bring US$28.1 million of new capital investment and lead to the creation of 400 new jobs in Illinois.
