BASF signs manufacturing agreement with Guangdong Yinfan on automotive refinish coatings

BASF's Coatings Division has entered into a manufacturing agreement with Guangdong Yinfan Chemistry Co. Ltd. (Yinfan).

Yinfan has recently opened its new wholly owned production plant in Jiangmen, City, Guangdong province. Under the agreement, Yinfan will manufacture automotive refinish coatings, targeting the non-premium segment, for BASF at this new plant using BASF formulas and technologies.

"Establishing a reliable, regional manufacturing footprint for automotive refinish coatings is important for fulfilling the growing market demands," said Peter Fischer, Senior Vice President, Coatings Solutions Asia Pacific, BASF. "Yinfan has outstanding competencies in ensuring production and quality. Partnering with Yinfan supports BASF's ambitious plan in this fast-growing market."

"We are fully committed to meeting the stringent quality requirements of BASF in automotive refinish coatings. With our significant investment in advanced production systems, our new manufacturing facility strictly adheres to national construction and occupational safety standards, as well as environmental protection requirements," said Zhang Qingtao, Chairman of Yinfan.
