2015 Husky World Tour kicked off with Beverage Packaging Conferences in Thailand and Indonesia
Husky Injection Molding Systems wrapped up the first two events on its 2015 Husky World Tour – the Beverage Packaging Conferences in Bangkok, Thailand and Jakarta, Indonesia on March 3 and March 5 respectively.
A combined total of over 250 visitors mainly come from Southeast Asian countries such as Malaysia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, and the Philippines, according to the Canada-based company.
Presentations in the Beverage Packaging Conferences included information on the latest innovations in preform and beverage closure manufacturing, as well as details on the systematic elimination of waste and variability with Husky solutions and Husky's engineering packaging solutions, including its multi-layer barrier technology.
Guest speakers included Moreno Barel, the President of P.E.T. Engineering, who spoke about "Bottle Design Evolutions - Cost, Fashion and Performance"; and Gary Fielding, the Marketing Director of ColorMatrix, who presented "The Impact of Colorants on Closure Performance."
"The beverage packaging and beverage closures markets in this region are unique and face their own set of challenges," said Karl-Heinz Hoefert, Husky's Vice President of Beverage Packaging Sales, Asia Pacific. "These two events in Southeast Asia were a great way for us to provide an intimate experience for our local customers, allowing us to connect with them on a personal level and offering the opportunity to share our insights about this particular market space."
