Iran offering interesting opportunity for Italian packaging products
Iran offers prospects of great interest for Italian packaging companies, according to Ipack-Ima exhibitors who appeared at the recently concluded Iran Pack & Print 2014.
Ipack-Ima Spa, the organizer of Ipack-Ima, said strong interests for "Made in Italy" products was observed at the Iran trade fair.
Ipack-Ima 2015 will be held in Milan, Italy from May 19-23 in conjunction with Meat-Tech, Fruit Innovation, Converflex and Intralogistica Italia.
Its statement was backed up by the latest Eurostat data, which revealed that foreign trading between Italy and Iran have virtually doubled, from €91.4 million as of October 2013 to €179 million by October 2014.
According to the organizer, the Iranian delegation coming to Ipack-Ima 2015 will be doubled compared to its previous edition in 2012.
The Iranian food technology market is perceived to be the most important by international investors interested in the Middle East, with Iran being the second largest economy in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region.
More specifically, there has been a constant increase in demand for packaging technology within Iran, resulting from the substantial rise in the consumption of foodstuffs, a consequence of the country’s increasingly youthful population, said Ipack-Ima.
Iran Pack & Print 2014 was held in Tehran from December 27-30.
