Woodwork treatment supplier turns to plastics packaging

Jun 3, 2014

Specialist woodwork treatment supplier Alfred Clouth Lackfabrik has switched one of its brands from tin to rigid plastics with the introduction of a new plastic jar manufactured by RPC Bramlage-Wiko, a subsidiary of the RPC Group.

The new jar for Clou Holzpaste has been designed to match the tin that it replaced with two sizes of 150g and 250g. It is injection molded in polypropylene (PP) to tight tolerances to ensure a leak free container that provides strong protection of the product.

The jar is produced in yellow pigment with contrasting blue lid to create on-shelf impact. Branding and product information is silkscreen printed in three colors onto the container.

According to RPC Bramlage-Wiko, the pack is lightweight and robust, and will not dent or rust, while a wide easy open and close lid offers ease of access and use for the end consumer.

"We were looking for an alternative pack that was in keeping with our brand and, equally important, one that could run on our existing filling lines. RPC Bramlage-Wiko has exactly met our brief with an attractive and practical jar," explains Alfred Clouth, Managing Director of Alfred Clouth Lackfabrik.
