Leading Italian packaging companies set up new network to focus on emerging markets

Dec 12, 2012

Five leading Italian companies in the packaging and processing sector come together to form a network called "Processing & Packaging: The High-Tech Italian Way" to focus on developing emerging global markets.

Ipack-Ima Spa, the organizer of the eponymous international exhibition taking place every three years in Milan, will be in charge of the network's operations and management. The newborn network is designed to strengthen individual businesses and exploiting trade events as a promotional springboard on emerging markets.

"Ipack-Ima's commitment in this initiative is consistent with our philosophy to act as global partners for our exhibitors, supporting their internationalization efforts - through our worldwide network of contacts with key packaging players including associations, trade literature and event organizers." explains Ipack-Ima CEO Guido Corbella.

Between 2013 and 2015, the network should strike agreements with Italian public institutions supporting promotional activities as well as with key international organizations and trade exhibition organizers according to the announcement.

"We joined the network with strong conviction right from its foundation: the network system ensures great flexibility and enables to join forces in order to be successful on emerging markets, which are still quite complex and challenging for individual companies to face on their own," says Gian Mario Ronchi, appointed Chairman of the network, who is the owner of Ronchi Spa. "We chose Ipack-Ima Spa as operational leader of the program in light of the growing importance of exhibition organizers, which are increasingly representative of the technology industry and today are capable of gathering a large number of companies and, consequently, a comprehensive technology offer."

Besides, Mario Ronchi Spa, the other founding companies of the network are: PFM Group, P E Labellers Spa, Clevertech, Reggio Emilia and CAMA Group.
