BYD reports record-breaking annual sales of 3 million NEVs, up 61.9% YOY

BYD concluded 2023 with more than 3 million sales, surpassing its annual sales target. The record-breaking sales volume sets the company as the global new energy vehicle (NEV) sales champion for the second year in a row.

In the Chinese market, BYD retained its position as the best-selling car brand and manufacturer.

The Chinese car brand saw culminating sales in a total of 3,024,417 vehicles throughout the year, which is a substantial 61.9% surge from the previous year.

BYD’s annual sales exceed its target of 3 million.

In 2023, BYD’s international market surged significantly, with exports growing by 334.2% to 242,765 units and its reach across over 70 countries on six continents.

The brand also has one of the most extensive portfolios in the global NEV sector. It completes brand matrix, including the Dynasty series, Ocean series, DENZA, FANGCHENGBAO, and YANGWANG, in 2023.

With the commitment to leveraging "technological innovations for a better life", BYD will continue to accelerate the transition towards a greener future and contribute to its vision to "Cool the Earth by 1°C".
