Sustainability in cosmetic packaging: Refillable jar with bio-based lid and recycled glass
Albéa’s refillable TWIRL jar is now available with a lid made of bio-based and recyclable Sulapac and Verescence’s glass base.

Biobased lid from Sulapac and Verescence’s glass is used in Albéa’s refillable TWIRL jar.
Sulapac bio-based materials guarantee as a safe choice for both user and environment as they leave no permanent micro-plastics or toxic substances behind at any stage of the product lifecycle.
The Sulapac lid provides a premium look in combination with glass, and it does not interfere with the glass recycling stream at the product’s end-of-life.
Glass manufacturer Verescence produces the glass base of the jar, which incorporates 20% post-consumer recycled glass.
The 50ml refillable glass jar is available in standard collection and is customizable with various decoration techniques, such as lacquering, pad printing and silk-screening, allowing cosmetic packaging with aesthetic and sustainability.
Ulé by Shiseido and Chanel, with its N°1 de CHANEL beauty range and LES EAUX DE
CHANEL perfume line, have been the forerunners in combining Sulapac material and glass in their product packaging.
