This is the first time in the world that bio-based engineering plastic has ever been employed in motorcycle windshields, according to Honda.
DURABIO has been adopted by the automaker for its outstanding performance that meets the required functions of windshields such as protection against the wind.
DURABIO is a bioengineering plastic made from isosorbide, a renewable plant-derived raw material. It provides excellent weather resistance, scratch resistance and transparency, and it is being used in a wide range of applications, including automotive interior and exterior parts, optical and electronic device components, and everyday sundries.
