INEOS Inovyn launches PVC recycling pilot plants in Belgium
As part of the ‘Project Circle’ initiative, INEOS Inovyn launches two new PVC pilot plants in Jemeppe-sur-Sambre, Belgium, where its main R&D center is located.
Project Circle ambitiously targets the PVC waste which cannot be mechanically recycled, by developing new technologies including dissolution, pyrolysis and gasification.

The PVC recycling pilot plants are based on Vinyloop technology, and are designed to upgrade PVC dissolution technology which can recycle complex PVC waste, including legacy additives.
Industry collaboration in Project Circle
INEOS Inovyn also joined two Belgium consortiums for Project Circle. The first is ‘CIRC-PVC’ which covers the entire chain, from collecting PVC waste at construction-demolition sites to the production of rejuvenated PVC not containing legacy additives.
The second is ‘DISSOLV’ that will drive the development for PVC waste from flooring, carpets and tarpaulin applications which cannot be recycled, due to the presence of textile fibers and legacy additives.
