An electric motor with superior insulation and integrated oil cooling
Additive Drives, together with Daikin Chemical Europe, developed an electric motor that uses latest insulation methods and integrated oil cooling.

Additive Drives and Daikin Chemical jointly developed an oil-cooled electric motor.
For the first time, thin insulation layer can operate PDIV-free even at high voltages. This results in a motor with high copper content, which is suitable for use in the aerospace industry.
Test results show improved insulation properties of the conductors in the stator, as well as significantly improved overall efficiency of the machine against comparable motors.
The integrated oil cooling in the motors allows heat to be dissipated efficiently at the point where it is generated. Supported by thermal simulation, user can accommodate particularly high power in a small space.
Innovative conductor structures and optimized cooling enable maximum power densities of 25kW/kg, essentially a 100kW motor in the space of a coffee cup. It also allows unrivalled levels of efficiency. The design of the electric motors is tailored to each application, in order to maximize its performance.
