Rik Tech: AI sorting lines that separate black mass, copper, and aluminum
A lithium battery holds cathode and anode material, copper foil, aluminium foil, and casing in one sealed unit. Opening it safely is one problem; screening and sorting what comes out into fractions that can move downstream is another. Equipment makers have to do both without losing the components the material contains. Mixed streams make this harder — a configuration built for one feedstock rarely suits the next.
Guangdong Rik Tech Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. (瑞科同发), based in Foshan, develops and manufactures solid-waste shredding and sorting equipment. Its product range covers single-, double-, and four-shaft shredders, crushing equipment, and intelligent sorting equipment, with complete lines for lithium batteries, non-ferrous metals, end-of-life vehicles, waste tires, e-waste, and waste plastics.

Lithium battery front-end processing
Used lithium batteries pass through dismantling, crushing, drying or pyrolysis, screening, and sorting. Rik Tech combines these into one line, using live-cell crushing, high-temperature pyrolysis, and intelligent sorting that draws on magnetic separation, gravity screening, and AI image recognition.

Output includes black mass, copper, aluminium, and casing; black mass then goes to hydrometallurgy for recovery of lithium, cobalt, and nickel. The finer the front-end separation, the clearer the destination of each fraction.
Electronic waste
Televisions, refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, CPUs, and circuit panels contain plastics, iron, aluminium, and copper together.

Rik Tech supplies crushing and intelligent sorting lines for WEEE covering pretreatment, crushing, sorting, dust extraction, and automatic control, with each material separated by its own characteristics. Throughput and sorting accuracy are configured to the specific waste stream.
Waste plastics
PET flake, LDPE film, and woven bags differ in form, size, and behavior, so front-end treatment differs too. Alongside crushing and washing lines for these streams, Rik Tech offers the S/M/T/K series of intelligent single-shaft shredders, configurable by feed size, throughput, and output particle size, with Siemens PLC control and automatic start-stop, reversal, and overload auto-reversal.

The low-speed, high-torque design handles plastics, paper, wood, fibre, rubber, and household waste; oversized or irregular material is shredded first, then crushed, washed, and screened.
Complete lines by material
‧ Lithium batteries: dismantling, crushing, screening, sorting.
‧ E-waste: pretreatment, crushing, sorting, dust extraction.
‧ Waste plastics: crushing, washing, sorting.
‧ Waste tires, non-ferrous metals, end-of-life vehicles: dedicated crushing and sorting lines, including intelligent tire crushing and sorting, non-ferrous metal crushing and sorting, and PCR plastic crushing and washing.
