ARBURG has just announced the launch of its Allrounder Trend machines—completely redeveloped electric machines specifically optimized for standard applications.

With modest investment and operating costs, these machines pay off even with short running times. As a result, ARBURG is expanding its reach to new target groups that do not yet utilize Allrounder machines in their injection molding production facilities.

At K 2025, ARBURG will showcase three Allrounder Trend machines, which will manufacture electronic connectors, demonstrate automated LSR production, and process recyclates.

“We have completely redeveloped the Allrounder Trend - from the all-electric drive train, energy-efficient clamping and high-performance injection unit to the dynamic electric ejector and the new Gestica lite control variant. This ensures repeatable and reliable part production,” summarized Guido Frohnhaus, Managing Director Technology & Engineering, during the press conference.

“The machine technology is very easy to master, even without specialist personnel, and enables quick and easy entry into injection molding of standard components,” added Tobias Baur, Managing Director Sales and After Sales.

Easy setup and cost-efficient production

The Allrounder Trend machines feature an especially slimline design that ensures a compact installation area and space-saving production, leading to increased output per square meter.

Convenient setup and changeover are facilitated by features such as the large, accessible mold installation space and thoughtfully arranged interfaces for electronics, pneumatic systems, and cooling water, located close to the mold.

Peripheral devices can be effortlessly connected using plug-and-work and the cylinder module can be quickly replaced if necessary. This allows the machine to quickly enter the productive phase, saving time and resources.

With the new electric Allrounder Trend machines, Arburg is expanding its portfolio with completely newly developed electric machines for standard applications.

Intuitive and smart operation

Thanks to intuitive controls and smart assistance functions of the Allrounder Trend machines, even inexperienced operators can quickly get up to speed.

The machines feature the new GESTICA lite control system variant, whose intuitive interface with its clear dashboard is easy to use. The user interface provides everything needed for the job at a glance.

This includes information about the order and the current process, as well as direct access to the most important parameters with smart assistance functions. The detailed parameter pages for the clamping and injection units can be accessed directly from the dashboard using the touch function.

The status center displays all alarms, while the help center offers practical online support. Additionally, a digital pinboard allows for production-related personal notes, providing further benefits.

Moreover, a simplified search and rapid troubleshooting function feature assisted workflows with visual solution trees and streamlined navigation.

Convenient maintenance and extension

ARBURG has also prioritized ease of maintenance and low maintenance requirements. To enhance accessibility, the sliding guard has been significantly enlarged, and the slider on the injection unit can be opened wide in two stages.

Maintenance points on the injection and clamping units, such as those for grease lubrication, are easily accessible without the need for special tools.

If necessary, options such as up to two serial core pulls and freely configurable I/O interfaces can also be retrofitted. The control cabinet is equipped with numerous slots.

The Allrounder Trend machines are equipped for an IIoT gateway, allowing them to connect with the arburgXworld customer portal or the ARBURG host computer system (ALS).

For automated molded part production, these machines can be integrated with ARBURG robotic systems, such as the linear MULTILIFT SELECT 4, along with a suitable compact guard. They can also be incorporated into complex turnkey systems.

Worldwide availability and short delivery times

The Allrounder Trend machines are suitable for a variety of industries, including technical injection molding and electronics. However, ARBURG emphasizes that these machines are not high-speed machines and are not suitable for all special processes, as their performance has been specifically optimized for standard applications.

At launch, four sizes are available, with clamping forces ranging from 500 to 2,000 kN and electric injection units sized from 100 to 800. The injection speed ranges from 200 to 500 millimeters per second.

Notably, the machine naming is also new. In the new system, the clamping force follows the product name Allrounder. For instance, the Allrounder 1000 e Trend has a clamping force of 1,000 kN, where “e” denotes electric and “Trend” indicates the performance level in the standard machine segment.

The Allrounder Trend machines can be ordered from K 2025 and will be available worldwide from spring 2026. They are offered with short lead times, typically around four weeks from order to delivery ex works.
