The medical plastics conference that tackles compliance, material, and manufacturing challenges
Medical plastics and rubber companies are facing a turning point in the medical industry – the implementation of revised Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) for medical devices in China, the official application of EU’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), and the increased volume of drug-device combination products.

On September 17, 2026, the 8th Edition CPRJ Medical Plastics and Rubber Conference and Showcase was fruitfully held in Suzhou, China. Let’s see the highlights.





The conference was hosted by Adsale Group under the theme “Accelerated Medical Device Innovation • Dual-Driven by Materials and Processing”. It had 24 theme sharings covering hot industry topics including interpretation of new regulations, supply chain management, drug-device combination, innovative formulations, AI medical care, material applications, and precision manufacturing.

Dayong Sun, AP Region Supplier EHS&L Engagement Lead of GSK (China) Investment Co., Ltd., shared the PSCI management process for pharma supply chain.

Qing Yu, Regulatory Affairs Manager from Baxter MedTech (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., reviewed the risk classification of registration modifications for blood-contacting medical polymer and rubber materials, as well as countermeasures against technical review.
