New Sorema PET recycling line inaugurated in Vietnam

Nov 10, 2025

Following the impressive results of its inaugural installation in Myanmar, Singapore-based plastic recycler Circular Plastics Company (CPC) inaugurated a new Sorema plastic recycling line in Vietnam in June 2025.

Designed for PET recycling and equipped with latest advanced technologies, the new line boasts a production capacity of 4,000 kg/h of food-grade recycled output flakes, affirming the reliability and efficiency of the Italian technology from Sorema.

Andrea Villa, Area Sales Manager (Far East) at Sorema, highlighted the significance of the preliminary work conducted during laboratory tests: “The tests on the input material proved decisive, as they allowed us to thoroughly understand the characteristics of the feedstock available in the Asian market.”

He explained, “From this came the need to develop a customized washing line, with a particular focus on the pre-washing section. Unlike the materials treated in Europe, Asian feedstock presents different contamination levels and requires tailored solutions—European standards cannot simply be applied.”

For CPC, choosing Sorema once again signifies not only a consolidation of its presence in Asia but also a reaffirmation of trust in a technological partner that has demonstrated its ability to blend innovation with sustainability.

Ruby La, CEO of CPC, added: “Moreover, the line has been designed to guarantee not only high production performance but also an optimal balance between capex and opex, making the investment both sustainable and efficient in the long term.”
