Dawn Polymer to acquire 80% of Ningbo SK for RMB 516 million
On December 10, Dawn Polymer announced its plan to acquire 80% equity in Ningbo SK Synthetic Rubber Co., Ltd. for RMB 516 million of its own funds.

Dawn Polymer plans to acquire 80% equity in Ningbo SK.
Held by SK Hong Kong, which is under South Korean second-largest group SK Group, Ningbo SK focuses on R&D and production on ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber. Their products are widely used in automotive, green construction, high-end manufacturing, and medical devices areas.
Notably, EPDM is the core raw material of products in Ningbo SK’s dynamic vulcanization platform. The unique molecular structure leads to higher weathering resistance, ozone resistance, elasticity, and flame retardancy, optimizing product performance and production cost.
Through this acquisition, Dawn Polymer will achieve self-production, which will fundamentally resolve upstream supply chain bottlenecks. This also helps building its comprehensive “compounding – modification – application” industrial chain, which enhances its integrated competitiveness.
After successful acquisition, Ningbo SK will become a holding subsidiary of Dawn Polymer. It is expected to bring positive effect in Dawn Polymer’s total assets, operating revenue, and profitability.
On the same day, Dawn Polymer also announced that it will set up a wholly-owned subsidiary in Singapore to further expand its global market.
Dawn Polymer is dedicated on R&D, manufacturing and sales of thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) and modified plastics. In the first three quarters of 2025, the company achieved operating revenue of RMB 4.456 billion, with a rise of 18.23% YOY, while net profit attributable reached RMB 131 million, a rise of 32,96% YOY.
