W&H to highlight sustainable flexible packaging technologies at CHINAPLAS 2026
At CHINAPLAS 2026 in Shanghai, China on April 21-24, Windmöller & Hölscher will present the development of sustainable flexible packaging through innovative solutions in extrusion, printing and converting technology.
Under the spotlight will be several MDO-PE solutions, accompanied by samples from various key industry partners, customers and real samples from brand-owners. Among others W&H will showcase:
With ExxonMobil, a sealable blown MDO-PE pouch which is 30% thinner than standard frozen food market solutions, without compromising performance; in additional there is also a high-stiffness blown MDO-PE substrate delivering excellent optics and mechanical properties - comparable to traditional BOPP films.
With Dow a recyclable high barrier sachet; while conventional sachets rely on metallized films, W&H´s blown mono-material contains less than 2% EVOH, exceeding according to recycling regulations
Newly developed High Barrier Cast MDO-PP Pouch demonstrates how modern packaging solutions can combine high barrier and design for recycling.
In addition, W&H will discuss both solvent-free flexo- and gravure printing applications, including barrier applications, alongside solutions for PE Sacks and Multiwall Paper Sacks. Besides W&H´s partners will include:
Bag making machines from German Bäumer & Bäumer (B&B) for side-gusseted bags with re-closures and for pouches with inline spout insertion & optional leak detection.
Form-Fill-and-Seal (FFS) machines, along with palletizers and stretch hooding technology from AVENTUS for for the perfect flow of free-flowing bulk materials.
GARANT paper bag solutions including concepts for cross bottom bags or flat and satchel bags, to offer paper alternatives, such as diaper overwraps and e-commerce mailer bags.
