The standard deviation σ (sigma) of different measured values can be an important indicator of the quality of a final product. However, its value is only representative if the individual measured values are unadulterated, e.g., if they have not been averaged. SIKORA’s new LINE PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZER software program is based on individual values with extremely high accuracy, which are not subject to any averaging.

The individual values are available in every SIKORA measuring device and are consolidated in a connected ECOCONTROL processor system. This provides a transparent overview of the quality level of the entire line.

Deviations, known as noise levels, can be detected at an early stage, clearly localized, and specifically remedied with the operator’s experience, ensuring a stable process and consistently high production quality. Production quality is clearly visualized on the ECOCONTROL processor system.
