Heads-up: Herbold Meckesheim offers second-hand recycling machines

May 29, 2026

Herbold Meckesheim continues to strengthen its offering of used machinery for the plastics recycling industry.

The company provides second-hand machines from its portfolio available from stock, offering customers a flexible and economically efficient alternative to new equipment. The portfolio includes granulators, shredders, pulverizers, plastcompactors, and components for washing lines such as friction washers and dryers.

Depending on configuration and availability, machines are available at short notice. These machines are selected based on defined technical criteria and are supplied in a tested condition, ensuring functional reliability in line with Herbold’s quality standards.

“For many customers, a used machine is no longer a compromise, but a deliberate and economically sound decision. They receive proven Herbold technology, expert-level consulting and dependable service, combined with shorter lead times and attractive investment conditions,” said Karlheinz Herbold, Senior Specialist of Sales Used Machines at Herbold Meckesheim.

Comprehensive inspection and refurbishment

Before being offered for resale, all used machines undergo detailed technical evaluation. Depending on machine type, condition, and intended future application, equipment is either inspected and serviced or comprehensively refurbished.

In selected cases, machines are completely dismantled and individually assessed. Critical components such as bearing seats, roller bearings, seals, and other wear parts are carefully checked for tolerances, dimensional accuracy, and overall condition.

For these processes, Herbold Meckesheim uses the same precision measuring and testing equipment employed in its new machine production. This ensures that refurbished machines meet clearly defined technical and operational standards before delivery to customers.

Technical and economic advantages for customers

Used machinery from Herbold Meckesheim provides customers with a technically proven and economically attractive alternative. One of the principal advantages for customers is the swift availability of used machines, with delivery often possible immediately or within just a few months.

Compared to new equipment, second-hand systems offer an attractive balance between investment cost and performance while enabling shorter project implementation times.

All machines are based on Herbold’s established engineering expertise and are designed to provide reliable performance in demanding recycling applications. In addition, application-oriented consulting and technical support tailored to customers’ individual process requirements are available.

This combination of used machinery and professional support distinguishes Herbold Meckesheim from conventional used equipment suppliers.
