The collaboration will focus on developing and innovating solutions and products through evaluating the possible use of SABIC's advanced materials in some CEER's vehicle applications and jointly developing material and processing solutions that fulfill industry needs.

It also aims to share knowledge and experience on sustainability and technology to support CEER objectives in products development, and to explore potential strategic sourcing opportunities allowing building a local supply chain with global standards for the emerging local EV sector, as well as identify and pursue additional areas of mutually agreed collaboration.

“By integrating SABIC’s materials and deep technical expertise into our vehicles, we are building a robust and reliable local supply chain while enhancing CEER’s rule as a key player in the Kingdom’s transformation into sustainable advanced hub for mobility and technology, in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030,” said James DeLuca, CEO of CEER.

SABIC's materials and solutions are contributing to the sustainable growth of the global automotive industry by enabling manufacturers to advance electric vehicle development and accelerate the transition to a sustainable, carbon-neutral future amid the industry's rapid transformation.

“The memorandum represents a strategic collaboration which leverages SABIC’s global expertise in advanced material solutions for the electric vehicle industry. Through this partnership, we aim to accelerate innovation, enhance local content and build an integrated national supply chain that enhances global competitiveness,” Dr. Al-Faqeer, CEO of Sabic, commented.
