Live demo: WINTEC t-win produces coat hangers at Fakuma 2026

Aug 27, 2026

At Fakuma 2026, a two-platen injection molding machine from WINTEC will run live production of coat hangers, showing off its strength in high-volume manufacturing.

On the stand, WINTEC’s t-win 6500 with a 4+4-cavity family mold will produce four hanger bodies and four hooks at once, with each geometry molded separately within the tool. A viper 20 linear robot takes care of part removal and places the components onto a conveyor belt.

With a cycle time of about 40 seconds, the cell achieves an output of around 360 coat hangers an hour, processing a polypropylene copolymer from Borouge International (formerly Borealis).

Highlighted features of t-win series machines:

• Compact: With the two-platen concept, the machine short footprint frees up floor space.

• High efficiency and production volumes: The servo-hydraulic two-platen system delivers fast clamping force build-up and synchronous locking, resulting in shorter cycle times, more parts per hour and noticeably lower energy costs per part.

• Available for upgrades: The control system grows with your needs. Upgrades can be added at any time, with no need to invest in a new machine.

• Higher availability: A robust, field-proven design with easily accessible maintenance points means less downtime and lower cost per part.

Smart functions included as standard

Even in its standard configuration, WINTEC customers benefit from ENGEL's intelligent iQ assistance systems.

At the heart of this is iQ weight control: the self-regulating system keeps the injection volume constant, resulting in significantly lower reject rates, higher productivity and a faster ramp-up after downtime, regardless of fluctuating ambient conditions.
