Kraiburg TPE launches eco-friendly series tailored for automotive exterior
Kraiburg TPE has launched its new sustainable TPE compound series – THERMOLAST R RC/UV/AP, tailored exclusively for automotive exterior applications.
The new THERMOLAST R RC/UV/AP series is tailored exclusively for automotive exterior applications.
The new TPE consists of 15-40% recycled content from post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials, reducing ecological footprint and contributing to circular economy.
THERMOLAST R RC/UV/AP’s seamless adhesion to PP materials enhances component integration and longevity.
The new TPE series’ temperature stability up to 90°C ensures material integrity under varying weather condition. With exceptional weather resistance, it can withstand challenging outdoor conditions, ensuring optimal performance and durability.
Its low density contributes to lightweight and fuel-efficient vehicle designs. With a hardness range from 50 to 90 Shore A, it offers flexibility for diverse exterior applications. Having passed Florida test with a 2-year cycle and achieving a GS≥4 rating, the new TPE demonstrates outstanding weatherability and UV resistance.
Versatility of THERMOLAST R RC/UV/AP allows applications on various automotive exterior, including cowl gaskets, window encapsulations, applications in the new mobility segment, underbody applications and so on.
