Milestone: GAC Honda starts reverse export of China-made vehicles to Japan
GAC Honda started the reverse export of China-made Odyssey to Japan on September 23, 2023. This marked the first time that China-made Honda vehicles are sold in Japan.

For the first time, China-made Odyssey are exported to Japan.
High-quality standard of Japan
The vehicles exported to Japan are made in Zengcheng plant. Based on the high standard of law regulations and quality standard of Japan, the manufacturing plant constructs control management on parts verification, quality control, hazardous material management, manufacturing consistency control and high quality of end products.
The reverse export implies that GAC Honda’s outstanding ability to manufacture and control product quality are approved by worldwide consumers.
With the unique Guangqi Honda Quality Standards (GHQS), the company implements a range of advanced technology which leads the industry. These include laser welding with rate of 110mm/s, quality assurance first time pass rate reaches 99.8%, first use of artificial intelligence technology in automotive lighting and head lamp testing in industry which also holds a Chinese patent, national first 100% automated plating with sealant.
Export to other countries
As the largest automotive market in the world with the most rapid development of new energy vehicles, China supplies market information on consuming trend and demand to automotive companies, which allow them to adjust global carmaking direction.

GAC Honda said it will also export China-made vehicles to other countries besides Japan. Its vehicles have so far been sold only in China.
