BASF’s bio-based TPU used in smartphone covers
BASF’s Elastollan N, a bio-based thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) with bio-based content of 53%, is now used for the production of Hamee Corp’s new HIGHER range of smartphone covers.
BASF’s bio-based TPU is used to produce Hame’s new HIGHER smartphone covers.
TPU material offers excellent durability and transparency for end products. BASF’s bio-based version is also further optimized with enhanced UV resistance and anti-yellowing properties.
Hamee’s new HIGHER smartphone cover is not only the company’s first time to use bio-based material in the smartphone cover, it is also the brand’s first MagSafe-compatible cover.
“Together, we are accelerating the plastics journey with high-performance and sustainable material solutions such as Elastollan N,” said Rachib de Matos Zeidam, Business Management, Performance Materials, BASF Japan Ltd.
Hamee’s new HIGHER range of smartphone covers will be exhibited at CHINAPLAS 2024, which will take place in Shanghai, China, on April 23-26.
