Sustainable skin care packaging by LyondellBasell, CORADIN and Dermalogica wins award

LyondellBasell, CORADIN and Dermalogica collaborated to create a more sustainable solution for the GREENIS Dispenser, by leveraging LyondellBasell’s CirculenRecover solution.

GREENIS Dispenser, produced by LyondellBasell’s CirculenRecover solution, wins packaging awards.

 

CirculenRecover polypropylene (PP) polymer is made from plastic waste through a mechanical recycling process. This solution helps achieve an optimal balance of performance, aesthetic and recycled content.

 

For the demanding cosmetic application, the GREENIS Dispenser is made with over 75% post-consumer resin (PCR). It received numerous awards, including the World Star Winner 2024 Award in the Health & Personal Care category, for its recyclability, sustainability, ergonomics and waste reduction qualities.

 

Aurelian Lis, CEO of Dermalogica, said that leaders in the professional skin care industry need to create intuitive, premium packaging solutions that do not compromise the health of planet.

 

“The GREENIS Dispenser shows how recycled material can replace conventional fossil-based feedstock, improving circularity and environmental performance for the packaging industry,” said Paula Sanabria, Senior Director, Marketing & Commercial Development, Circular and Low Carbon Solutions at LyondellBasell.
