CHINAPLAS 2026: Arkema’s high-performance innovations in five key sectors
At CHINAPLAS 2026, Arkema showcased its specialty material solutions in five key sectors: lifestyle, mobility, cutting-edge manufacturing, industry, and polymer additives.
Spanning multiple key market sectors, including new mobility, sports and leisure, consumer electronics, semiconductor manufacturing, water treatment, and polymer production, these materials combine outstanding properties such as high durability, lightweight performance, bio-based content, recyclability, and precision efficiency, empowering customers to confidently address evolving industry challenges.
High-performance materials in everyday consumer scenarios
Arkema’s ABC (Advanced Bio-based Circular) high-performance materials such as Rilsan PA11, Pebax thermoplastic elastomers and Rilsan Clear transparent polyamides, achieve an excellent balance of durability, lightness, flexibility, comfort, and chemical resistance.
Rilsan PA11 is 100% derived from castor beans, fully recyclable, and offers an approximately 80% lower carbon footprint compared to traditional petroleum-based materials.
Rilsan Clear transparent polyamide range is BPA-free, combining ultra-lightweight properties, high transparency, high impact resistance, and excellent chemical resistance, making it ideal for transparent applications across food contact, kitchen appliances, consumer electronics, eyewear, medical, and industrial sectors.
These materials are extending the sustainability advantages of bio-based solutions into daily sports, leisure, and low-carbon mobility applications.
High-performance solutions designed for cutting-edge applications
In the advanced manufacturing field, Arkema presented high-performance material solutions designed for cutting-edge applications such as advanced electronics, electric vehicles, and semiconductors.
Kynar PVDF has been successfully used for over 30 years in ultrapure water piping systems and semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
A wide range of Zenimid polyimide products, developed by PI Advanced Materials was also showcased, including films, pastes, powders, and preformed parts. These products deliver exceptional thermomechanical, electrical, and chemical resistance properties, enabling customers to achieve technological breakthroughs in more demanding, high-quality industrial environments.
High-performance additive solutions
Efficiency and stability in polymer production are equally critical to end-product quality and overall manufacturing performance. At CHINAPLAS, Arkema also highlighted a series of high-performance additive solutions that further reinforce its leadership in industrial materials.
Luperox is a family of organic peroxides that Arkema has been developing since 1953. These are backed by extensive technical expertise and innovation to support high-performance applications across packaging, construction, automotive, and new energy industries.
Tippox 2028 addresses thermal stability challenges in PMMA processing by offering more targeted stabilization solutions. It helps customers increase processing temperatures and output, reduce defects and VOC emissions, and further optimize production efficiency and operating costs.
