YIZUMI delivers 5500T injection molding machine to Algeria
Recently, YIZUMI has further advanced its global expansion with the shipment of a UN5500D1L ultra-large injection molding machine to Algeria, a key gateway market in North Africa.
This is YIZUMI’s first 5,500-ton class machine delivered to overseas market. It is also the largest tonnage equipment YIZUMI has exported to date, demonstrating its growing capability to support large-scale manufacturing projects worldwide.

North Africa’s logistics boom drives equipment upgrades
In recent years, the continued growth of the logistics and manufacturing sectors in North Africa has driven increasing demand for plastics products such as pallets, turnover boxes, and large logistics containers.
Besides that, North Africa’s proximity to Europe has strengthened its role as a manufacturing hub, attracting industrial investment and supply chain relocation from Europe.
The customer behind this purchase specializes in plastic logistics products for customers across North Africa and Europe. The company increasingly focuses on production efficiency, operational stability, and long-term competitiveness than cost alone. Its investment in the UN5500D1L supports both its growing domestic business and its ambitions within regional and European supply chains.
Engineered for large-part manufacturing
With the UN5500D1L, the customer will primarily produce heavy-duty plastic pallets, large storage turnover boxes, and specialized load-bearing containers.
At the process level, stable injection control systems, precise temperature and pressure regulation, high-quality screw plasticizing performance, and accurate holding control are all essential for large-part manufacturing.
As a result, large-scale production of such parts cannot rely on machine tonnage alone, but also requires comprehensive performance in precision, stability, and process adaptability.
YIZUMI’s machine is engineered for large-part manufacturing, maintaining stable, consistent, and controllable molding performance under high-load and long-stroke operating conditions.
“The competitiveness of ultra-large injection molding equipment is not defined by a single technical specification. Rather, it is measured by the combination of machine reliability, process adaptability, and lifecycle service capabilities,” said James Zhang, General Manager of Injection Molding Machine Division and International Business Division at YIZUMI.
Future expansion in North Africa market
As a manufacturing hub connecting Europe and Africa, North Africa will be an important region for YIZUMI to strengthen its presence through the deployment of the 5,500-ton machine.
The project also creates opportunities for future expansion into larger machines, turnkey solutions, and system-level manufacturing projects. It also reflects YIZUMI’s ongoing transition from an equipment supplier to a provider of integrated manufacturing solutions.
Looking ahead, YIZUMI will continue to expand its global presence and support customers worldwide with advanced manufacturing solutions.
