Fakuma 2026: ROEMHELD to show electric mold change trolley and new push-pull platform

Aug 5, 2026

At Fakuma 2026, ROEMHELD will showcase two new products that speed up mold and die changeovers in plastics processing and make them safer. Apart from the new products, the company will also present an overview of its complete portfolio for the storage, transport, changeover and clamping of molds and dies in plastics processing.

New RWA 1000 elmo “electric motion” die change cart

The new RWA 1000 elmo “electric motion” die change cart transports injection molding tools weighing up to 1,000 kg. According to ROEMHELD, what makes it unique is that both the drive system and the lifting function are fully electric.

A battery-powered motor moves the cart at speeds of up to 4 km/h, whilst the double scissor lift raises the load electro-hydraulically to table heights between 620 and 1,485 mm. This allows molds to be picked up without physical strain, raised to the injection molding machine’s insertion height and docked there with precision.

It is operated via a multifunctional drive handlebar featuring a continuously variable speed control, a safety push-button, a horn and an emergency stop.

The stainless steel roller table accommodates molds measuring up to 1,000 x 700 mm; with a lateral overhang, dimensions of up to 1,000 x 900 mm are even possible. Adjustable locking bars and side rails secure the molds against slipping and falling, whilst a safety docking rail ensures the exact insertion height.

The changeover table is available in five versions, including models with lowerable rollers or a swivelling bridge.

Push-pull platform

ROEMHELD’s new push-pull platform facilitates die changeover when using industrial trucks. It is mounted on a new or existing electric walkie pallet truck or forklift, has its own electric drive and operates independently of the carrier vehicle.

A push-pull chain pulls the die onto the platform and pushes it into the press. The control unit is integrated into the platform; optionally, it can be integrated into the lifting equipment.

The first model, the RWA 1600 elmo, is designed for dies weighing up to 1.6 t. The larger versions for up to 2 and 4 t are planned.

R-MAG electro-permanent magnetic clamping system

The R-MAG electro-permanent magnetic clamping system clamps dies of various sizes and geometries fully automatically and without distortion in a matter of seconds, whilst also holding them securely in the event of a power cut.

The homogeneous magnetic clamping surface ensures an even distribution of clamping forces, meaning that standardization of the dies is not required. It can be used in both horizontal and vertical applications.

According to ROEMHELD, it is currently the only system on the market featuring a clamping force display for greater process reliability and interchangeable magnetic poles. This simplifies maintenance and reduces downtime. An 8-inch color touchscreen display and an integrated remote maintenance module via VPN or an external Wi-Fi router complete the system.

As standard, R-MAG systems are designed for plate thicknesses of 55 millimeters and operating temperatures of up to 150 °C; for small machines, a plate thickness of just 38 mm is also available. Variants rated up to 230 °C are available for use on rubber presses and die-casting machines; the plate thickness, including the integrated heating element, is 85 mm.

Double-acting arc clamping elements for injection molding machines

ROEMHELD’s double-acting arc clamping elements for injection molding machines with an integrated locking pin are available in six versions.

The clamping and release pressure is 200 bar in each case. The clamping force varies between 50 and 450 kN depending on the model, whilst the maximum permissible process force is 620 kN. The arched clamping pin rests on the straight clamping edge – its horizontally acting force is redirected and acts almost vertically on the clamping surface.

A mechanical locking mechanism holds the clamping bolt in the clamping position even in the event of a pressure drop and secures the upper die against falling. Optionally, a laterally mounted position control system signals the release and clamping positions, as well as any overshoot of the clamping position.

The components are temperature-resistant up to 100 °C when fitted with a position control; without this control, they are temperature-resistant up to 160 °C as standard, and on request even up to 250 °C.

Complete solutions from clamping to tool-changing technology

With these new products, ROEMHELD is expanding its range of user-friendly, safe and efficient solutions for plastics processing.

Visitors at Fakuma 2026 will also be given an overview of the complete portfolio for the storage, transport, changeover and clamping of molds and dies. Magnetic, hydraulic, electromechanical and mechanical clamping systems, transport carts and automation solutions will be on display.
