ECON’s solutions for pelletizing, quality control, and component cleaning at Fakuma 2026

Sep 16, 2026

At Fakuma 2026, ECON will showcase solutions for plastics pelletizing, quality control, and component cleaning. At its booth, visitors will be able to interact with live applications and gain insights into the future of increasingly automated and quality-focused plastics processing.

Highlight: Underwater pelletizing running live

One of the highlights at the ECON’s booth will be the ECON Underwater Pelletizer (EUP) running live during the show. At the heart of the system is ECON’s patented thermal insulation technology, which ensures exceptional process reliability and consistently high pellet quality.

The presentation will give visitors the opportunity to operate the system themselves and gain hands-on experience with the pelletizing process.

ECON PelletVision: Automated inline pellet quality control

ECON PelletVision provides automated inline pellet quality control. By combining high-resolution imaging with intelligent image analysis, the system evaluates pellet size and shape, enabling continuous process monitoring and early detection of quality deviations.

At Fakuma 2026, ECON PelletVision will be showcased as a standalone exhibit. Visitors can feed pellets into the system and watch the digital analysis of pellet shape and size in real time.

EPO-N 600 with integrated nitrogen system

With the EPO-N 600, ECON introduces a more compact and further enhanced generation of its pyrolysis cleaning system. The process removes polymer residues through thermal cleaning under a controlled nitrogen atmosphere without mechanically stressing or oxidizing the treated components.

The required nitrogen is generated directly from compressed air, allowing the system to operate independently of external nitrogen supplies. The EPO-N 600 is particularly well-suited for cleaning metallic components such as laser filters, tools, and extruder parts, which helps extend their service life.
