Tederic’s GIGA Factory starts operation in Zhejiang, China

Tederic’s large integrated intelligent manufacturing base – the GIGA Factory in Tongxiang City, Zhejiang, China – was officially completed and put into operation.

Covering an area of 164,000 m2, the factory has become the largest integrated production base in the world. The factory has been built into an efficient and intelligent integrated molding equipment industrial base, undertaking the processing of castings and steel parts, assembly of electro-hydraulic machines and production of integrated large-scale high-end equipment.

 

Its production workshops are equipped with flexible production lines, high-precision machining equipment group, load-bearing 300-ton floor boring machine and gantry several, load 300-ton travelling crane several, heat treatment lines and other supporting equipment.

 

In addition, the factory is equipped with large, medium and small-sized machine assembly pulsating line, which improves assembly efficiency and shortens assembly cycle, securing high quality and fast delivery.

 

Overall, the GIGA Factory can meet injection molding machines manufacturing up to 4,500 tons and a full range of die casting machines up to 20,000 tons.

 

The GIGA Factory also highlights Tederic’s commitment in sustainable development. It achieves self-supply of internal energy. 1.69MW of photovoltaic power generation is adopted on the roof of the factory, which realize an average annual power generation capacity of 11,422,300kWh, equivalent to the annual consumption of 4,000 ordinary households.

 

Also, the factory allows 37% of the remaining surplus electricity can be connected to the grid, ensuring its aim to become zero-carbon factory in the future.
