LyondellBasell’s foaming material used for interior in Renault Rafale

LyondellBasell’s Hostacom TYC 2463F E2 foaming material is incorporated in the interior design of the new Renault Rafale.

The Hostacom foaming material is manufactured utilizing LYB state-of-the-art catalyst technology, enhancing the rheology of the polypropylene (PP) polymer matrix. This cutting-edge PP compound features elaborate designs, enhanced surface textures, scratch-resistance, and low emissions in producing automotive interior parts.

 

Key benefits of the Hostacom foaming material include:


- High flowability, expanded processing window and excellent melt strength ensures optimal cell structure in foamed parts.

- Significant weight savings using LYB PP compounds with chemical blowing agent in core back technology.

- Semi-ductile nature of the material broadens its use in various interior trim parts, offering versatile and sustainable solution.
