BG Plast will be exhibiting at K 2025, showcasing a broad portfolio of its latest developments and innovations. While the solutions feature various technologies, they share a common design philosophy: to deliver equipment characterized by precision, versatility, and sustainability, capable of transforming thermoplastic materials into valuable products.

 

Patented SAGEC system

 

SAGEC is an innovative, patented system that revolutionizes the extrusion of multi-layer bubble panels made from thermoplastic materials in a single pass, thanks to a calendering system developed in-house by BG Plast.

 

The inner layer features a three-dimensional structure that provides lightness and superior mechanical strength, both in the machine direction (MD) and cross direction (CD).

SAGEC is BG Plast’s patented technology for innovative extrusion of multilayer bubble panels.

 

Panels produced with SAGEC technology are distinguished by several key benefits:

 

  • Light weight: Simplify handling and logistics

  • High mechanical resistance: Excellent resistance to bending and compression

  • Water and moisture impermeability: Suitable for outdoor and demanding environments

  • Thermo-acoustic insulation: Suitable for construction and industrial applications

  • Recyclability: Align with sustainability principles

  • Ease of lamination: Facilitate coupling with pre-printed films, fabrics, or carpets

 

The SAGEC technology offers a production capacity of up to 1,000 kg per hour, enabling the manufacture of panels with thicknesses ranging from 4 to 12 mm and widths up to 2,050 mm.

 

New 4500 calender

 

Equipped with 4,500 mm-wide rolls, the 4500 calender is designed for producing special sheets (T-Grip and V-Stud) and geomembranes. It guarantees uniformity, control, and surface quality, even for exceptionally large sheets, making it ideal for sectors that require strength, aesthetics, and high performance.

  

Each roll is fitted with an independent drive and a separate temperature control system, maintaining consistent temperatures throughout the process. The electromechanical opening and closing control ensures maximum thickness accuracy, with values ranging from 1 to 40 mm. Additionally, the 4,500 mm calender can process a wide variety of polymers and is compatible with multi-layer configurations.

Lines for geomembranes

 

For the extrusion and calendering of geomembranes in HDPE, LDPE, and PP—smooth or textured, as well as laminated with geotextile materials—BG Plast has developed highly customizable production lines.

 

These lines achieve outputs of up to 1,500 kg per hour without compromising product quality, with usable widths of up to 8,000 mm. This capability results in fewer field welds and enhanced installation efficiency. The thicknesses range from 1 to 3 mm, uniform across the entire surface, and can be produced using multi-layer co-extrusion, incorporating various polyolefin formulations.

The width of geomembranes produced with BG Plast lines can reach 9000 mm. 

Next-generation extrusion coating

 

For extrusion coating, the company has recently built a 3,200 mm line for producing waterproofing films, suitable for use as moisture barriers, roofing membranes, protective layers, and more. These films can be wound into large-format rolls.

 

This line enables the extrusion of various materials, including PE, TPU, EVA, PP, TPO, and TPV, and allows for lamination with non-woven fabrics, textile meshes, carpets, and natural fibers. It also produces polyolefin-coated laminates for industrial applications, ensuring thickness uniformity and high surface quality.
