TotalEnergies Corbion announces price increase for Luminy PLA

May 4, 2026

TotalEnergies Corbion announced price increase for Luminy polylactic acid (PLA), effective 21 April 2026.

Recent geopolitical events have created significant challenges across global supply chains. These events have led to a sharp and unavoidable rise in costs related to logistics, international transportation, and energy.

While TotalEnergies Corbion has worked hard to absorb these fluctuations over the past months, the scale of these increases means the company must seek customers' support in sharing this unexpected surge in costs and adjust pricing to maintain the high standards customers expect.

What does this mean for customers?

  • Immediate Effect: The pricing increase applies to Luminy PLA as of 21 April 2026.

  • Existing Contracts: Customers with active fixed-term contracts will be honored and remain unaffected for the remainder of the agreement term, except any special clauses on prices in these contracts.

  • Case-by-Case Evaluation: For all other orders, price adjustments will be evaluated on an individual basis. TotalEnergies Corbion is committed to working closely with customers to find the most sustainable path forward for their specific business needs.
